My baby girl is six months old and she already loves books. She sits on my lap every night and she looks at the illustrations of the book I am reading to her with all the concentration she can muster. She already feels it is our bonding moment, the time before going to bed when playing is over and she has to relax and listen to a wonderful story that will provide her with materials for her dreams.
After the cold winter we had and the indolently wet spring, I thought it would be a good idea to warm up differently. Within the genre of comic books authors are also engaged in giving us a strong sample of sex and eroticism in the form of cartoons
The story of Marcela and Elisa is a research work on the real lives of two women in Galicia that got married by the church in 1901. Now, their testimony has been rescued by the hands of this fascinating book, which won’t fail to touch any of it’s readers.
For this month I’ve chosen a story written exclusively in english, not a translation or an adaptation from the original. The author is american and the book is set in the United States. I wish to emphasize that the book is not only about homosexuality but also about the adoption and integration of children from different ethnic groups. The illustrations, by the author herself, are in pencil and pen, but still there is a large study of color and proportion. A wonderful book for any kid from 5 to 8 years old.
Is it good or bad to live in unreal world? Do dreams come true? Should we care about other people’s opinion? “- She was a mermaid and fell in love with me when I went for a walk at the beach”. Fantasy, loyalty and sincerity come together to bring a true story to life … or not?
Through this magazine I’ve recommended, mostly, children’s literature aimed to boys and girls between 3 and 10 years old, and that’s what I want to keep doing, but from now on I want to express what made me choose each story. I try to talk about what’s closest to me, which basically is what most concerns me. But I also try to talk about other kind of situations that I’ll never live but maybe some of you will. The substance of this section is for you to understand that my opinions have a single function: give propaganda and normality to homosexuality. I would like to introduce a few titles for you to enjoy great love stories, adventures, fantasy and subjects I think have a lack of publicity.
In times before we’ve recommended foreign lesbian themed comics and animation series, the richest gender in this ground is the japanese manga. But this month we’ve decided to dedicate the space for made in Spain comics.
Women. Brunettes. Blondes. Gingers. Auburns. Shy. Outgoing. Free. Guilty. Happy. Brave. Resigned. Proud. Blind. Sensitive. Awake. Women who are just what society allowed them to be. Women who make themselves every day. Women who change the world and women who don’t believe they are strong. Women who love women. Women who love men. Women who can’t even love themselves.
