After a few months since the succesful launch of Mirales, I believe is about time we get to know the Mirales stuff a little further. In the next monthes we’ll search in the life, personality, and specially in the secrets, of the people that make possible for you to read this magazine every month. Without any order of preference, this month we’ll discover a little more about our contributor who travels the most: Noelia. I hope you like it.

1. How would you describe yourself?
Quiet, sensitive, independent, dreamy, sometimes naive, sometimes skeptical.
2. Single or in a relationship?
Well, depends on the moment, I guess. I would say single, and only when someone worth appears, in a relationship. I don’t see it as a necessity.
3. How would your perfect date be?
To be surprised, picked up and taken to the beach with two glasses of champagne and a dessert.
4. Who would you like a date with?
With someone I feel physically and mentally attracted. Ok, and with Charlize Theron, Uma Thurman or Bimba Bosé, but I had no idea about this women minds.
5. Tell us something Funny/Shameful that ever happened to you on a date.
Mmmm…well, it wasn’t a date but once I was holding hands with a girl on the street and a very rude man turned around shamelessly to look at us until he tripped over a step and fell on his face.
6. A lady friend or a girlfriend?
A girlfriend with who you have the complicity and the fun of a friend.
7. To surprise or to be surprised?
I love both. I almost prefer to surprise, search for the surprise, prepare it, see the look on the other person’s face.
8. Submissive or dominant?
Hihihi, ambivalent.
9. What do you think about closets?
That sometimes they are a way to gain security in an environment that may appear hostile. But they must be a shock to give us more strength, never a hiding place.
10. Could you stand to be in a relationship with someone in the closet?
Yes, although I admit that sometimes there may be inconveniences that wouldn’t happen if both were out of the closet.
11. Have you ever been in the closet?
Yes, in certain situations and circumstances. I think we’re in the closet by default and we have to go out again and again.
12. What does it mean for you to collaborate on Mirales?
For me it means to be able to show through a window how a lesbian girl lives in any part of the world. It’s something very beautiful, to look for a person and get her testimony and be able to show it to others.
13. I Imagine you have learned a lot about the different countries which you have mention in your section of lesbians around the world. Which one seemed more interesting to you?
All of them have something that makes them special, specially the girls who have always willed to colaborate with me. Perhaps the one that touched me the most was Anna’s testimony, the russian girl who told us how she came to break her own leg fighting for the lesbian cause.
14. Tell me one country you would love to go with your girlfriend and another one which you wouldn’t go in a million years.
I love traveling so I would go anywhere, I would love to go to Japan, for example. Well, okay, I wouldn’t go in a million years (with my girlfriend) to Saudi Arabia or Iran, the most homophobic countries in the world.
15. What do you ask for 2010?
Can I say “Health, wealth and love”?
16. What would you like to say to our readers?
Well, first thank them for reading us and specially for all the messages of encouragement. Secondly, I would encourage them to keep reading and to recommend us to everyone, gay or not. And, from my particular section, if you know a lesbian around the World who World like to tell us her story, tell me!
